PART 2 - MARISE'S MAKEOVER

Updated: Aug 3, 2018

What a glorious year this has been for The Style Coach. From my first official client on January 1st, a winter wedding stylize shoot for a canadian magazine with Unico Decor, a successful Glamour Photography project with the amazing Chera from Yorke Photography, to the launch of my kick ass website by the talented Caro Design helped put my business on the map of Moncton. I never imagined how much I would accomplish in my first year as a stylist and I owe it all to you, my wonderful clients, trusting business partners and supporting followers.

My clients’ public Makeovers have also made its mark at The Style Coach. Many anticipate seeing and reading the stories of these everyday people turned into their best dressed-self yet. I thought it would just be appropriate to sign off the year with my last 2014 transformation.

Marise may have found a new confidence with her new day-time look in Part 1 of Marise’s Makeover earlier this month, but I had another surprise up my sleeve for my dear friend; and with New Year’s Eve coming up, I just had to jump on this opportunity to create this glamorous evening look.

This black, 3/4 sleeve linear jersey dress with a rhinestone front design is the right choice to showcase Marise’s natural beauty. Pinning one side of those soft curls behind her ear shows a hint of extra glitter with a sleek earring complementing the shiny pattern of her dress. Keeping her makeup light, with a touch of purple, pops those beautiful dark eyes; a deep purple ,pleated satin, crystal detailed clutch gives the perfect touch of holiday tone to this simple, yet oh so chic, sophisticated look.

Like showing an earlobe may have been scandalous in the early 20’s, even I wasn’t prepared for what was to come next. While shooting close-up shots of Marise’s black ankle booties for her version of a modern glam outfit, what do I see peeking from the hem of her dress…over the knee lace top stockings! Well Hello sexy!! Apparently the surprise was on me; just to show that every tomboy has an inner diva hidden somewhere.

Wishing you all a wonderful and prosperous New Year and looking forward to styling with you in 2015 ~ The Style Coach
